Super Smash Bros. no Switch? Um novo ou um velho?
Após alguns dias de recuperação daquela fatídica noite de 08/03/2018 em que nossos corações quase saíram pela boca tamanha a emoção que nos fora causada, resolvi escrever esse artigo visando, na verdade, abrir uma discussão com você, leitor. Neste post eu darei a minha opinião sobre se eu considero que Smash será um jogo novo ou se será apenas um port do jogo do Wii U. Ao final, após feitas as minhas considerações, deixarei o espaço aberto para que você complemente a discussão e, juntos, possamos formar uma base de conhecimento (para não falar especulação) sólida. Pois bem, vamos ao que interessa! :)
Às vezes eu me pergunto: como algo em tão pouco tempo pode gerar tantas dúvidas. Me impressiona ainda o fato de Smash ter feito isso com tamanha maestria, digna de toda a paixão que desperta em seus fãs, admiradores. Vou deixar o vídeo abaixo, caso você não tenha tido a oportunidade de vê-lo.
Como de praxe na internet, tudo virou discussão (algumas com pura ofensa, algumas com argumentos interessantes). Afinal, seria este um port do jogo do Wii U ou seria um novo jogo? Antes de mais nada, quero deixar claro que o argumento que “é possível desenhar um número 4 no símbolo apresentado no vídeo”, na minha opinião, é bastante equivocado e um fundamento bem raso para fundamentar uma ideia. Acontece que o logotipo apresentado é o que o Smash vem utilizando desde o Melee, ano após ano, geração após geração. Ao longo de todo este tempo, foram feitas apenas as adaptações que o próprio passar dos anos exigiu para que o símbolo ficasse mais bonito e apresentável. Reestilizar marcas é algo absolutamente normal em produtos, e Smash é um produto. Porém, apesar de minha total descrença, este foi um argumento até certo ponto bastante utilizado nas redes sociais.
Confesso que até esta semana eu estava com um sentimento de que poderia ser um jogo novo, mas não estava convicto (ainda não estou). Todavia, ao entrar na área de novidades no menu do Nintendo Switch me deparei, mais uma vez, com esse magistral teaser (que assisti pela enésima vez), porém notei algo que antes não havia reparado (ou não havia dado a devida atenção). Vou deixar você analisar a imagem abaixo para que possa ter suas próprias conclusões e não ser influenciado pelo que vou falar aqui, ok?
Na minha opinião, eu acho que se trata de um jogo novo. Pelo fato de ter tido um teaser com todo um ar de mistério (típico de grandes anúncios), de o anúncio estar com a expressão “working title” (isso é comum em jogos que ainda estão em fase de desenvolvimento e que não terão seus nomes revelados) e pela própria filosofia da Nintendo de sempre deixar claro em seus anúncios quando trata-se de um port (ela fez isso com Pokkén e com Mario Kart 8). Apesar de achar que o Super Smash Bros. do Wii U é um excelente título, por já ter sido lançado ele não é “digno” de tanto mistério assim.
Com base nesse pensamento, fui olhar os recentes anúncios de ports e reparei que eles não fazem uso da expressão supracitada. Abaixo os exemplos do Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker e do Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze. Ambos estão com seus nomes também revelados. Veja abaixo:
Claro que no caso dos jogos acima, foi feito o anúncio completo. No caso do Smash, foi apenas um teaser e talvez eles queiram criar essa expectativa no público. Porém, com grandes expectativas vêm grandes frustrações e, caso se confirme ser apenas um port, será algo bem frustrante, apesar de eu acreditar que ele será bem vendido não importando a forma que ele seja lançado.
Além disso, o próprio Sakurai está trabalhando nesse Smash. Se fosse um simples port, seria necessário que o chefão-mor estivesse presente na migração? Acredito piamente que não!
Existe um outro aspecto também que me motiva ainda mais a achar que este seria um novo título, mas antes de abordá-lo eu gostaria que você visse este vídeo:
Este foi o trailer de anúncio do Super Smash Bros. para 3DS e Wii U. Repare no foco total ao multiplayer, à diversão. No recém-apresentado, podemos reparar um certo grau de seriedade, como se dissesse para você: “estamos aguardando e só os melhores sobreviverão”. O trailer nos passa a ideia de que algo épico está para acontecer.
Outro fato interessante é a recém-divulgada notícia de que haverá um torneio do Super Smash Bros. durante a E3 de 2018, tal qual ocorreu com Splatoon 2 e Arms (dois jogos novos) na feira de 2017. Se formos parar para relembrar, o Super Smash Bros. 4 também teve um torneio durante o evento de 2014, alguns meses antes de seu lançamento. Paremos para pensar: será realmente necessário tanto mistério caso fosse organizado durante a E3 deste ano um campeonato do já conhecido e difundido Super Smash Bros. 4? Em minha opinião, a resposta é não! Entretanto, só saberemos isso quando chegar o dia do evento.
Esses são os meus argumentos para acreditar que trata-se do quinto jogo da franquia, ou seja, um jogo novo. Todavia, quem disse que eu sou o dono da verdade?
