Qual será o Futuro do Wii U?
Todo mundo sabe que o Wii U não foi o sucesso que esperávamos depois do Wii, que desagradou muita gente hardcore e que distanciou a relação das Thirds com a Nintendo, se tornando, para muitos, um erro da empresa, apesar de ser um console incrível. Com apenas 2 anos no mercado, devido ao seu baixo desempenho, já haviam especulações sobre a descontinuação na produção do console e essa notícia virou rotina na Internet após a confirmação do NX, o novo console misterioso da Nintendo.
O último burburinho que surgiu na grande rede e que já foi desmentido pela Nintendo (mesmo se fosse verdade, um anúncio com essa importância não seria feito assim) quase convenceu os fãs da empresa japonesa, pela proximidade de vermos algo do NX. Outro rumor desmentido e a vida segue, mas muitos Gamers (como eu) ficaram com a pulga atrás da orelha após essa notícia falsa: como será a vida do Wii U quando o NX chegar? Vamos tentar prosear sobre as possibilidades mais reais.
NX: o ponto chave
Se tem um assunto do universo Nintendo que enche mais do que o fim da vida do Wii U, esse é sobre o próximo grande produto da Nintendo, que parece estar fechado a sete chaves para ninguém roubar a grande ideia da empresa para o console (isso dá um medo danado…), aumentando as dúvidas sobre a intenção da gigante Nipônica quanto ao Wii U. Saber o que é o NX e como ele funcionará nos dará um atalho para descobrir o caminho que o nosso querido console da geração atual irá percorrer nos próximos meses, seja o NX um substituto ou um dispositivo integrado ao Wii U.
A certeza da morte do Wii U é a vinda de uma nova versão do console, com todos as funções melhoradas e, quem sabe, compatibilidade com o Gamepad e os jogos do U, assim descartaria a necessidade de continuar produzindo um console que não dará mais o lucro esperado.
O que deixa os donos de Wii U esperançosos e que pode dar uma reviravolta em como todos olham para o console é o lançamento de algo muito bem relacionado aos atuais produtos Nintendo, talvez com um ‘up’ no hardware e a volta das Thirds (sonhar é de graça mesmo) ou uma nova função para o Gamepad que chame a atenção de outros gamers, essa chance é a mais remota, mas seria o cenário perfeito para o futuro do Wii U.
Poucos Lançamentos
O que desanima os donos de Wii U é a escassez de lançamentos, não é de hoje que esse é um problema que impede o crescimento do console, causando muitos hiatos entre um grande jogo e outro, tornando o console inutilizável nesse tempo ou funcionando apenas como um dispositivo para assistir Netflix e Youtube. Esse ano não tem sido diferente, temos apenas um jogo “novo” com a data de lançamento confirmada (Star Fox Zero, dia 22/4) e só tivemos algo diferente em Março com o Remaster de Twilight Princess (que está maravilhoso, por sinal) e o port dos arcades de Pokkén, dois jogos incríveis, mas não seriam o suficiente caso a empresa queira “salvar” o console apenas com seus exclusivos.
O temor maior é quando você presta atenção no cronograma de 2016 e se pergunta qual será a estratégia de negócio da empresa, já que tem o anúncio do NX, a E3 (os dois podem acontecer juntos), anúncios para o mercado Mobile e Zelda U, que pode ter um port para o seu novo sistema de mesa; nada mais foi falado sobre outros jogos para o Wii U no segundo semestre, o que pode determinar a data de validade do console.
Seria um desastre ter Zelda como o último jogo do Wii U, ser obrigado a comprar o NX (seja lá o que ele for) para ter novos lançamentos, ver o número de jogadores cair drasticamente no online dos excelentes como Mario Kart 8 e Splatoon, ou seja, a falta de conteúdo seria a pior morte possível para o console, pelo menos mais 1 ano com jogos para Wii U e NX simultaneamente ou alguma utilidade com os dois juntos (ou com o 3DS) seria uma alternativa muito mais sábia.
Wii U pra Sempre
Há quem não goste (um dia vou entender essas pessoas), mas quem gosta tem inúmeros motivos para isso, mesmo com aquele papo chato “console que não vende”, “deu muitos prejuízos à empresa”, “um jogo vai sair pra calculadora, mas não sai para o Wii U”, pois ninguém é louco o suficiente em dizer que o console não teve bons jogos e quebrou alguns paradigmas que a Nintendo insistia em manter. Por mais decepcionante, em quesito de vendas e quantidade de lançamentos, que o Wii U pode ter sido para os gamers ou à própria gigante japonesa, sempre será lembrado pelo console que tem um dos melhores (se não for o melhor) Mario Kart da história, por ser onde Splatoon e Mario Maker começaram seu reinado na Nintendo, onde temos a chance de jogar três The Legend of Zelda em alta definição e onde vimos que a Nintendo realmente se importa com seus fãs, não abandonando o console só porque ele não atingia a meta do ano fiscal (ao contrário de outras empresas do ramo…).
Hoje, principalmente, pode não ser um console muito procurado pelos jogadores, mas só quem desfrutou dele sabe o quanto foi marcante essa experiência e para nós, mesmo com o NX ou seja lá o que a Nintendo lançar, o Wii U sempre terá aquele lugar em nossos corações e será o maior exemplo de que nem tudo são gráficos, realismo e boom de vendas, a diversão ainda prevalece quando escolhemos um video-game.
