O primeiro jogo solo do Luigi!
Ahhh, o Luigi! Esse coadjuvante……. Coadjuvante nada, né? Ele é tão importante quanto o personagem principal da franquia! Pra falar a verdade, pra muitas pessoas ele é mais querido do que o próprio Mario!
Antes de discutir o assunto do post, vou fazer uma pergunta! Vocês lembram do programa de TV “Show do Milhão”? Então! Será que você acertaria se a pergunta de 1 milhão de reais fosse a seguinte:
Provavelmente, muitas pessoas perderiam a grande chance de ficar milionárias selecionando a opção “Luigi’s Mansion” do GameCube. Porém, há um jogo solo do Luigi bem anterior! A resposta correta nesse caso é Mario is Missing, objeto do post de hoje!
Sobre o Jogo
Mario is Missing é um jogo educativo que não teve a participação da Nintendo no seu desenvolvimento. Foi lançado inicialmente para PC, em 1992, e somente um ano depois veio para o NES e SNES. Em 1994, lançaram também para MAC. Imagine o hype que seria se a Nintendo anunciasse esse jogo para PC nos dias de hoje! Independentemente do jogo ser bom ou ruim, se é educativo ou não, com certeza ele geraria um hype absurdo e seria notícia pelo mundo afora! Se Pokemon GO e Miitomo já fizeram um estrago na internet, um jogo do Luigi multiplataforma iria parar o universo.
Vamos para a história do jogo! Dessa vez a “aventura” sai do reino do cogumelo e adentra o mundo real. Bowser (que agora possui um castelo na Antártida) quer derreter as calotas polares e inundar a Terra. Pra isso ele compra todos os secadores de cabelo de uma loja chamada Hafta Havit. A ideia dele é utilizar os os secadores de cabelo pra derreter a camada de gelo, fazer o mar subir e inundar o planeta. Pra levantar a verba necessária para comprar todos os secadores de cabelo, ele manda os Koopa Troopas roubarem os monumentos e artefatos importantes da história mundial. Aqui cabe uma observação: não faria mais sentido (se é que há algum nessa história) ele roubar os secadores de cabelo em vez de roubar artefatos?
Enfim! Mario descobre os planos maléficos do seu arqui-inimigo e tenta infiltrar-se no castelo. Luigi estava com muito medo e não foi nessa aventura. Eis que Mario é capturado pelo Bowser e a única esperança de salvação da Terra é o Mario Verde, ops, Luigi. Para salvar o mundo, Luigi deve ir a diferentes pontos do globo terrestre e recolher pistas.
O jogo segue o estilo gráfico de Super Mario World e até o mapa é no estilo do jogo do SNES. Nesse ponto, é bem legal o desenho do mapa pois lembra o mapa mundi real.

O jogo é bem ruim, como vocês devem imaginar! Até hoje ele é considerado um dos piores jogos da franquia Mario! Mas temos que considerar o fato de esse ter sido o primeiro jogo solo do Luigi e o fato de esse jogo ter sido lançado para PC antes mesmo dos consoles. Além disso, esse jogo originou o meme Weegee, por causa do sprite esquisito do Luigi que parece encarar algo com muita intensidade!
Só penso que Luigi merecia algo melhor para sua estreia. Mas parece que ele aprendeu com o erro!

Que dó, imagina a alegria da criança que pega um jogo novo do Mario e não consegue jogar… Nós sabemos o que você sentiu, ficamos dias apertando a cara do Mario no 64 sem saber o que fazer…
