Uma aposta ousada e muito interessante para um gênero tão explorado desde os primórdios dos Videogames. Mas será que a execução “em tempo real” da trilha sonora do game funciona bem? História
A Lenda do Herói é um jogo brasileiro inspirado no quadro de mesmo nome do canal Castro Brothers no Youtube. O game narra a estória do personagem Herói (sim isso mesmo, ele não tem um nome) que estava dormindo e recebe uma mensagem telepática de uma princesa que foi presa em um castelo por um terrível vilão, no melhor estilo “Link…. Link…. Wake Up!”.
Sem maiores informações, o Herói da canção parte em busca do castelo para resgatar a princesa tendo basicamente o seu coração como guia.
O Enredo é extremante simples e obviamente de maneira proposital, servindo mais uma vez como referências aos jogos antigos, por exemplo (Super Mario Bros). Contudo a simplicidade do enredo não é um ponto negativo, porque a estória vai se desenrolando ao longo de toda a jornada do Herói que recebe constantemente mensagens da suposta donzela em perigo, o que vai adicionando algumas camadas, ainda que muito superficiais, à busca do jogador.
Jogabilidade
Com fortes inspirações em Wonder Boy in Monster Land para o Master System a jogabilidade é muito parecida. Basicamente o Herói começa a jornada com uma espada, um escudo e também a habilidade de saltar.
Ao longo do jogo conseguimos novas habilidades e itens como: o gancho para escalar locais inacessíveis, pulo duplo, habilidade de nadar, ficar invisível, dash e bolas de fogo. A mecânica já é bem conhecida e super bem-vinda, uma vez que – a cada nova habilidade adquirida – além de conseguir avançar na estória é possível visitar as fases anteriores e explorar novos locais em busco de colecionáveis.
E por falar em colecionáveis, temos dois tipos: as notas musicais e as medalhas (que ao coletarmos três recebemos uma vida extra). Como já esperado não é possível conseguir todos os itens colecionáveis em apenas uma jogatina, muitos deles estão escondidos em locais inacessíveis sem as habilidades corretas, o que garante à Lenda do Herói um bom fator replay, caso o jogador deseje completar o game em sua totalidade.
A Lenda do Herói possui ao todo 8 fases, cada uma delas com 3 atos e uma batalha contra o chefe após o terceiro ato. Uma vila também é acessível logo após a primeira fase onde é possível encontrar alguns NPCs, lojas e até mesmo um local para aprender uma nova técnica com a espada, mas assim como nas fases principais alguns locais da vila só estão acessíveis depois que adquirimos as habilidades corretas.
É sempre uma boa pedida visitar a vila, e principalmente as lojas entre uma fase e outra. São nessas lojas que conseguimos melhorar as nossas habilidades para que consumam menos vigor durante o uso e, até mesmo, podemos comprar poções para recuperar vida ou para aumentar temporariamente o ataque ou a defesa.
O Grande diferencial de A Lenda do Herói é o fato de que todo o gameplay é cantado. A ideia é a seguinte: a música vai se adequando conforme as ações que estão acontecendo na tela. Obviamente são ações pré-determinadas que disparam uma estrofe da canção. A cada fase temos uma música tema diferente. Algumas muito legais e outras um pouco menos inspiradas. Senti falta da música cantada nas batalhas contra os chefes. Infelizmente apenas as introduções destas batalhas são narradas.
Gráficos e Sons
A direção de arte de A Lenda do Herói é toda baseada em Pixel Art. Uma escolha sem dúvida nenhuma acertada, já que o jogo é uma homenagem aos antigos games de plataforma. Contudo a técnica evoluiu muito e os gráficos que vemos hoje são infinitamente melhores e mais detalhados do que víamos nos consoles antigos. Os sprites são todos muito bem desenhados e animados em HD, os cenários são bem trabalhados e o meu destaque positivo fica pela variedade de inimigos e também o design dos chefes de fases.
A trilha sonora, como já mencionado é um dos pontos principais do game. A grande maioria das músicas são legais e estão repletas de piadinhas durante a jogatina, mas infelizmente não se sustenta ao longo de todo o gameplay. Em algumas fases dá pra sentir que a energia cai um pouco, algumas rimas são forçadas ao extremo e parece que as frases que estão sendo ditas não deveriam encaixar naquele verso. Mas no geral é bem divertido ouvir a balada do Herói durante a jornada e certamente você rir em diversos momentos, seja por algum trocadilho ou mesmo piadinha durante a cantoria.
Veredito
A Lenda do Herói não é um jogo perfeito, mas entrega o que promete. Ao longo das mais de 15 horas que joguei consegui terminar a aventura principal e curtir bastante o pós-game, buscando os coletáveis que ficaram para trás ou mesmo jogando o epílogo (não vou entrar em detalhes para evitar spoilers). Com um ótimo Level Design, desafio na medida certa e muita criatividade para literalmente cantar um jogo inteiro, a experiência foi muito satisfatória.
Algumas mecânicas mais antigas como Knock Back poderiam ter sido ignoradas, mas não chegam a atrapalhar a experiência. Senti falta também de ver o nome das fases no mapa central e me incomodou um pouco a escolha do botão para utilizar as poções ser a mesma para falar com NPCs. Por diversas vezes gastei uma poção de bobeira enquanto tentava falar com alguém na vila.
Contudo são ajustes pequenos e que não ofuscam de maneira nenhuma o brilho deste ótimo jogo de plataforma. Me diverti umas boas horas com ele e ainda tenho muito o que fazer para consegui os 100%. E a versão Definitiva ainda conta com: uma série de Skins para o Herói e muitas delas são de Youtubers famosos; DLC de Heavy Metal: “A Lenda dos Mortos”; epílogo; e o famigerado DLC Samba e pagode. Sem dúvidas A Lenda do Herói é uma bela adição à biblioteca do Switch.
