Sonic 25 anos (parte 2) – Lampejos de esperança
Ó eu aqui de novo, gente! E dessa vez para falar de Sonic, essa série que fez parte da minha infância e de muitos outros, e confesso que tenho um amor muito especial por ela.
Nosso amigo Tovar falou um pouquinho do início da história do Sonic neste artigo, e hoje estou aqui para continuar a saga do nosso querido ouriço-caixeiro azul, que completou 25 anos de vida. Não é para qualquer um não!
Tovar falou sobre a importância daquela trilogia inicial do Sonic lançada no Mega Drive e um pouco sobre o primeiro jogo 3D da série. Podemos citar também o Sonic & Knuckles para fechar com chave de ouro esta era, jogo pós trilogia que funciona como uma sequencia direta do Sonic 3, e para ser sincera, é um dos meus preferidos, até porque eu adoro o Knuckles e ele se tornou personagem jogável! Ele tinha a habilidade de escalar paredes, além de fazer tipo um voo meio planado, muito legal! Estranha eu, né?
A nível de curiosidade, vocês sabiam que originalmente, os Sonic 3 e Knuckles foram desenvolvidos para serem um só jogo? Por isso é possível encaixar um no outro e jogar como foi pensado.
Gostos peculiares à parte, a seguir falarei sobre a saída do nosso amigo do universo 2D e sua entrada definitiva para o 3D, e qual foi o resultado disso para nós, fãs da série.

O Sonic CD chegou para Sega CD, aquele videogame acoplado no Mega Drive, que permitia a utilização da mídia CD, lembram? Eu mesma nunca vi um pessoalmente. Dizem que esse jogo foi excelente, bem mais fiel ao game original do que o próprio Sonic 2, e que a música ficou ótima. Nele aparecem pela primeira vez a Amy Rose e o Metal Sonic.
Daí você diz: “Ô tia, você me fez lembrar de um Sonic que joguei no meu XBOX!”. Sim, você tem razão, o Sonic CD, assim como vários outros jogos da série, foi relançado em HD na Live, PSN, iOS, Android e até Windows Phone!
Rumo ao novo console!
Chegamos ao novo console! Agora o Sonic estava no Dreamcast, lindo e em 3D. Eu já falei em outro artigo e no POWdcast sobre minha empolgação ao ver pela primeira vez a propaganda na TV do Sonic Adventure e minha consequente paixão pelo Dreamcast, meu coração quase parou! E graças aos deuses dos jogos, eu tive a oportunidade de jogá-lo, ainda que tardiamente.
Sonic Adventure contava com uma nova forma de jogar, agora os gráficos em 3D no lugar do 2D, e sabem o que é mais incrível? Eles conseguiram permanecer com uma jogabilidade rápida merecida para o nosso amigo corredor, e fizeram de uma forma tão boa que nem precisava daquele tempinho para adaptação obrigatório na maioria das mudanças de mecânica.
O jogo estava com um enredo mais claro, contava ainda com o vilão Robotinik, mas agora batizado definitivamente de Dr Eggman, forma mais utilizada pelos nossos amigos orientais. A turminha ainda estava toda lá, mas o jogo ganhou mais personagens para enriquecer a história, e o mais legal, boa parte destes personagens eram jogáveis! Isso mesmo, foram seis personagens que podíamos controlar, sem contar o Super Sonic, e cada um com missões e finais diferentes.
Ainda tinha o Chao Garden, que era o local que você poderia criar esses monstrinhos meio Pokemons meio Tamagotchi, desde o ovo, e evoluí-los de diversas formas diferentes. Era tipo um extra para o jogo, mas eu achava super legal!
Na curta vida do Dreamcast, este foi o jogo mais vendido, merecidamente. O defeito? O Sonic agora falava, e tem gente que jura que era irritante. Eu nem me incomodava.
Chegou o Sonic Adventure 2, também para Dreamcast. Surgiu aqui o Shadow, aquele camarada parecido com o Sonic, e a morceguinha Rouge, como novos vilões. No Adventure 2 o jogador poderia até escolher em que lado iria jogar, Hero ou Dark. No Hero, você jogava com Sonic, Tails ou Knuckles para tentar salvar o mundo, e no Dark, você jogava com Shadow, Dr Robotinik ou Rouge, que saíam dando um jeito em tudo e todos que estivessem no caminho.
A jogabilidade do Aventure 2 é parecida com a de seu antecessor, e tem gente que acha o jogo ainda melhor! O jogo foi portado para o GameCube, sendo batizado de Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.
O fim dos consoles da Sega
Alguns acreditam que a decadência do Sonic veio com a chegada dele no universo 3D. Como o Tovar escreveu muito bem no artigo anterior, o próprio Sonic 3D Blast não foi aceito por uma unanimidade de jogadores, mas vamos lá, aquilo estava mais para um pseudo 3D. Eu particularmente, tendo jogado e amado o Sonic Adventure, discordo totalmente disso, acho que o mascote da Sega funcionou muito bem e certeiramente enquanto nos consoles da Sega, com algumas exceções.
O problema foi a partir daqui, o Sonic precisou existir em outros consoles quando a Sega ficou exclusivamente na produção de jogos. Minha experiência maior foi com o PS2, e aí que o negócio começou a cair, a exceção agora era quando faziam jogos bons. Bem triste pois, convenhamos, nossa expectativa estava bem alta por consequência da nossa experiência com o ouriço até aqui.
Começou com o Sonic Heroes, e este até que era bom, mas acabou por aí. Trouxeram um horroroso especial do Shadow chamado Shadow the Hedgehog, em que eram utilizadas um monte de armas. E o Sonic Riders? Jogo de corrida em que os personagens usam uma prancha/skate auxiliar, parece boa ideia, né? Eu acreditei e fiquei super animada quando consegui o jogo, mas foi uma mega decepção, era bem ruim, e sabem o que mais? Eles inventaram de fazer uma sequência que foi ainda pior. E para finalizar fizeram o Sonic Unleashed.
Tá, comparado com os anteriores, o Unleashed era bem melhor, mas eu sendo mais exigente e acostumada com a era de ouro, também não gostei e quase desisti do mascote. Gente, falamos de um console rico como foi o PS2, jogos assim com certeza ficaram para trás.
Depois de muitas decepções, veio uma breve felicidade, resolveram lançar um tal de Sonic Rush para o Nintendo DS, e essa foi a luz no fim do túnel para alguns, voltamos a ter esperanças. O jogo é um plataforma 2D e conta com personagens renderizados em 3D, e as batalhas contra os chefes são totalmente em 3D, criando um efeito muito legal! Surgiu aqui uma nova personagem, Blaze the Cat.
O jogo é excelente, só não foi unanimidade pois alguns se incomodavam com a alternância entre as telas do portátil enquanto o protagonista corria freneticamente no decorrer da fase, mas ainda assim, não há duvidas de que essa foi uma faísca para os fãs.
Infelizmente estávamos enganados, por ter jogado todos os que citei e a maioria dessa geração, falo com propriedade, os jogos seguintes tentaram inovar na jogabilidade e começaram a trazer umas histórias bem diferentes, mas todo esse esforço definitivamente não funcionou, eram games enjoativos e estranhos. Pior é que eles não desistiam, foram lançados uma infinidade de jogos ruins, só de vez em quando surgia algum um pouco melhor.
Mas será que Sonic nunca mais recuperaria sua glória? Talvez sim, mas isso ficará para a próxima parte! Enquanto isso, digam aí o que acharam da entrada do Sonic pro universo 3D, e se gostaram ou não dos jogos pós Mega Drive!
