[REVIEW] Sonic Superstars – Ele até corre bem, mas tropeça em vários obstáculos
Repleto de jogos e com muitos altos e baixos (estes mais frequentes), a franquia Sonic chega em mais uma de suas tentativas de fazer um jogo à altura do mascote. Mas será que o jogo é bom? Ou será que derrapa no caminho? Vem com a gente nesse review.

Um clássico de volta
Sonic é um personagem clássico da década de 90 que, após o sucesso da trilogia inicial, teve muitos altos e baixos (mais baixos do que altos, para falar bem a verdade). Porém, apesar de todos os jogos questionáveis e descartáveis que foram lançados desde então, Sonic ainda continua com carisma em alta, principalmente após o Sonic Mania.
Agora com um jogo da Sonic Team (que não inspira mais a confiança de outrora em seu selo de qualidade), Sonic retorna às origens 2D que tanto cativaram os jogadores e fizeram uma legião de fãs. Tendo a participação da Arzest – do Hey! Pikmin e do extremamente questionável Balan Wonderworld – temos um jogo com a possibilidade de jogar com quatro personagens (Sonic, Tails, Knucles e Amy), sendo um quinto personagem liberado após o encerramento do jogo.
As mecânicas de pular e girar no chão são trazidas de volta, mas cada personagem possui alguma habilidade específica ao apertar o pulo enquanto está no ar. Exemplo: Sonic dá um dash girando ao pousar no chão; Tails consegue voar por um longo período; Knucles plana e consegue grudar e escalar paredes; e Amy, ao pousar, sai distribuindo marteladas no chão.
As esmeraldas do caos também retornam, mas dessa vez o jogador deverá descobrir a área escondida no mapa em que está a fase bônus que levará à obtenção da esmeralda. Ao obter uma esmeralda do Caos, Sonic ganha um super poder. Confesso que esses super poderes são pouco explorados no jogo, sendo que em diversos momentos eu simplesmente esquecia que eles existiam.
Outra mudança é com relação às vidas que não existem mais no jogo. Ao adotar o sistema de checkpoints e retirar o conceito de vidas da jogada, o jogo traz acessibilidade, mas também tira um pouco do desafio para aqueles que querem ter a experiência mais clássica de jogo. Penso que poderia ter uma opção ativável para agradar a todos os jogadores. São vários checkpoints espalhados pelas fases, sendo um disponibilizado antes de todo chefe, de modo que não há maior punição ao morrer no chefão.
Além disso, as fases contêm referências às fases clássicas, tendo as fases de cassino, água e várias outras que despertam aquela sensação de nostalgia e vontade de rejogar os jogos antigos pela milésima vez.
Problemas Supersônicos
Vários chefes do jogo são bastantes inventivos e interessantes, porém existem alguns que são extremamente longos e com longos trechos de transição entre as suas formas. Além disso, alguns exigem muitos acertos para serem derrotados, o que deixa a experiência monótona, tendo em vista a lentidão com que a batalha se desenrola.
Outro problema bem grave são os bugs que encontrei, principalmente na última fase do jogo, como – por exemplo – os erros de detecção de colisão que me faziam cair no infinito absoluto e as áreas em que o personagem morria “esmagado”, mas sem nada aparente (provavelmente mais um erro de detecção de colisão).
Outro aspecto a ser mencionado é a qualidade gráfica do jogo no modo dock. A quantidade de serrilhados que o jogo apresenta deixa o jogo muito feio e incomoda bastante. Além disso, o jogo tem quedas de framerate absurdas em momentos em que há muitos elementos sendo exibidos de forma rápida.
As músicas do jogo são boas, mas também são esquecíveis. Diferente das músicas dos primeiros jogos que eram um convite para a velocidade, este jogo conta com músicas boas, mas que não trazem a sensação de necessidade de correr pelo cenário e destruir inimigos.
O jogo conta agora com multiplayer local (até quatro jogadores) e online (até 8 jogadores). Por não ter ninguém para jogar o modo cooperativo, tive dificuldade de testar esse modo, logo não vou me atrever a tecer uma análise. Porém, pelo que vi em vídeos e gameplays, parece ser um modo muito confuso, o que me tirou completamente a vontade de testar. Já o modo online, nas vezes que tentei, não consegui sequer conectar. E quando consegui, tive problemas de estabilidade de conexão, por isso não consegui jogar este modo em sua plenitude.

Sonic Superstars prometeu um retorno ao auge da franquia, mas os erros (tanto de bugs quanto de execução do projeto) demonstram que há um longo caminho para a SEGA e a Sonic Team reaprenderem a lidar com o seu principal mascote. Problemas de jogabilidade, chefes muito longos, bugs (corrigíveis por patches) e toda sorte de mau polimento tornam o que seria um ótimo jogo em um jogo mediano, mas ainda assim divertido por vários momentos. É triste ver um potencial tão grande assim de boas ideias ser mal aproveitado desta forma. Um dos grandes pontos positivos deste jogo é que ele está completamente em português, apesar de serem bem poucos os diálogos e mensagens.
A edição Deluxe que traz novas skins de LEGO e o visual do Sonic coelho não dizem para que vieram, visto que são somente skins de personagens e não mudam em nada o cenário, o que dá uma estranheza ao ver um LEGO andando na fase, não conversando com o cenário artisticamente falando. O grande destaque da edição Deluxe é a trilha sonora e as artworks, baixadas com o jogo original. Vale o investimento? Aí é cada jogador e fã que vai dizer.
