Pikmin 4 não foge muito da fórmula de seus antecessores. A diferença é que agora o estilo de gameplay que foi criado lá no GameCube, fruto da tech demo conhecida como Super Mario 128, ganhou um nome: Dandori. Um nome que qualquer jogador de Pikmin, que viver a aventura proposta no 4, jamais vai esquecer.
A série é permeada por uma constante de urgência que pode causar suor no buço. Literalmente Ansiedade: The Game. Principalmente em sua primeira iteração, em que não bastasse a passagem do dia, você também é obrigado a completar toda a aventura em no máximo 30 dias, ou seu Game Over vem embrulhado para presente.
Evoluções naturais aconteceram no caminho, principalmente de qualidade de vida, e Pikmin 4 chega com um olhar novo para este formato, mesmo que mantenha a estrutura clássica dos jogos anteriores, que consiste em explorar uma área em períodos divididos por dias, com a urgência de recolher todos os seus Pikmin antes da noite cair, pois esta oferece perigo para os indefesos ajudantes. Neste novo jogo, a urgência existe apenas no dia em que você está vivendo de cada vez, mas todas as amarras de tempo externas não estão mais ali, oferecendo um conforto para quem se incomodava com o sistema, que já era mais suave no 3, porém ainda existia, e atraindo novos jogadores.
Uma constante, inclusive, em muitas séries nessa geração, é a de se desprender das amarras de suas estruturas para abraçar quem acabou de chegar, e está inseguro com o funcionamento de alguns jogos. Pikmin 4 vai por este caminho, e é, sem sombras de dúvidas, o episódio mais convidativo para novos jogadores, servindo como um ponto de partida para quem quer conhecer a franquia.
ASTRONAUTAS, HUMANÓIDES, PIKMIN E FOLHANOS
Na trama você controla um personagem que, pela primeira vez na série, é um avatar customizado pelo jogador. Mais um aspecto de como Pikmin 4 se mostra aberto a ser convidativo a todos. Você caiu com sua tripulação em um planeta desconhecido (é a Terra, sempre é) e todos se espalharam na queda. Agora seu objetivo é reunir sua tripulação para que possam retornar para casa. No caminho, você descobre que outras naves estavam atrás do sinal de Olimar, que vocês também estavam seguindo, e mais tripulantes precisam ser resgatados.
Novo objetivo: Salvar sua tripulação e todos os outros exploradores que caíram!
Como se isso não fosse suficiente, alguém achou prudente colocar algumas dessas pessoas nas cebolas dos Pikmin (cebolas são as naves dos bichinhos), e agora eles estão se transformando em Folhanos, uma espécie de híbrido entre humanos e Pikmin.
Novo objetivo: resgatar todos que estão perdidos no planeta e curar os que viraram Folhanos.
Para curar os Folhanos, Pikmin 4 trouxe uma novidade para a série: a exploração noturna. Neste novo modo, o jogo entra em estado de Tower Defense, e você precisa proteger a colméia feita pelos Pikmin Pirilampo, uma nova espécie que tem aparência de fantasma e que só circula à noite (ou em cavernas, pois são totalmente escuras).
Aqui, seu objetivo é derrotar os inimigos que virão em hordas para tentar destruir a colméia e roubar a Seiva Pirilâmpica, o único material capaz de criar o antídoto para os Folhanos voltarem ao normal.
Estes nomes, inclusive, fazem parte do excelente trabalho de tradução em PT-BR feito no jogo. É o primeiro jogo com muitos diálogos que a Nintendo Brasil localiza completamente, deixando aquele fio de esperança de ver projetos cada vez maiores em nosso idioma, quem sabe até um Zelda mais pra frente.
A novidade não fica restrita ao adorável Pirilampo, mas durante o dia também fomos apresentados a um novo tipo de Pikmin, o de gelo. Ele é capaz de congelar inimigos quando arremessados aos montes, deixando-os imóveis e vulneráveis aos ataques de sua equipe. A desvantagem do congelamento é que ele quebra o inimigo, não deixando um corpo que pode ser levado à nave para gerar novos Pikmin, mas é bem útil em batalhas mais trabalhosas.
E dessa vez todos os Pikmin estão no jogo, todas as nove categorias já criadas durante a série:
Pikmin vermelho: resistente a fogo e forte e ataque
Pikmin amarelo: resistente a eletricidade, leve para ser arremessado longe e alto e cavam buracos com mais rapidez
Pikmin azul: respira debaixo d’água
Pikmin branco: resistente a veneno e são mais rápidos que outros Pikmin
Pikmin roxo: extremamente forte, tem a força de 10 Pikmin e podem atordoar inimigos quando são arremessados no chão
Pikmin pedra: Forte contra inimigos com casca, quebram vidros e não tomam dano contra inimigos que pulam ou rolam sobre você
Pikmin voador: eles… voam… é bem útil, eles pegam atalhos para carregar itens
Pikmin gelo: congela inimigos e qualquer superfície de água ou lama
Pikmin pirilampo: Podem ser usados à noite e produzem a seiva pirilâmpica
O MELHOR AMIGO DE UM ASTRONAUTA DESASTRADO
Mas talvez a melhor adição de Pikmin 4 seja o companheiro Otchin, uma espécie de cachorro que faz parte de sua tripulação, e tem a capacidade de aprender diversos truques que serão úteis durante a aventura. Além de ser adorável, ele pode te ajudar a colher Pikmin quando eles estão nascendo, ele pode cavar buracos, carregar objetos e atacar inimigos. Mas sua melhor ajuda está em carregar todos os Pikmin nas costas quando você aciona o comando, permitindo ataques mais precisos e também facilita a atravessar estruturas, subir em pequenas plataformas, e até passar pela água, sem se preocupar em afogar os Pikmin que não são azuis.
O sistema de “carona” de Otchin funciona tão bem e de forma tão orgânica que é difícil imaginar outro jogo sem ele. Ele serve como uma quebra de paradigma para que possamos nos desvincular de algo que já era comum e esperado, e nos habituar com novas mecânicas que não só facilitam a vida do jogador, oferecendo qualidade de vida ao gameplay, como também aguçam a criatividade, uma vez que abre um novo leque de possibilidades com as dezenas de melhorias que são disponibilizadas na lojinha do jogo.
Sim, a lojinha do jogo, um local onde você poderá adquirir itens e upgrades que vão ampliar o escopo de sua exploração [metafórica e literalmente]. Apenas um dos diversos pontos de interação do hub de Pikmin 4. Pikmin 4 demorou mais de dez anos para ver a luz do dia, e valeu cada segundo da espera quando chegou. Sua estrutura traz familiaridade, enquanto aposta em aspectos que não havíamos experimentado antes, além de evoluir mecânicas que já funcionam muito bem no jogo anterior: Pikmin 3.
Seria uma pena se tivéssemos que esperar mais dez anos para ver o 5, mas com sorte, em breve novos exploradores vão se perder no planeta PNF-404. Pikmin 4 é Dandori!
