[REVIEW] Pokémon Brilliant Diamond / Shinning Pearl – O Remakes mais pedido e aguardado da franquia
Considerando o histórico de 25 anos da franquia dos monstrinhos de bolso da Nintendo/Pokémon Company, os Remakes não são necessariamente uma novidade. Aliás, muito longe disso, mas – a cada anúncio de uma nova remasterização – os fãs ansiavam por uma oportunidade de revisitar a região de Sinnoh e poder ter a chance de novamente capturar os monstrinhos da quarta geração. O anúncio de Brilliant Diamond e Shinning Pearl foi feito ainda no começo de 2021 e, como todo anúncio de Pokémon, movimentou a internet criando muita expectativa até o dia 19 de novembro, quando os jogos chegaram exclusivamente ao Nintendo Switch.
Com a aproximação da data de lançamento naturalmente fotos e vídeos foram sendo liberados e acabaram dividindo opiniões entre os entusiastas das versões originais e os novos fãs da franquia. Brilliant Diamond e Shinning Pearl apresenta aos jogadores tudo o que é esperado de um jogo Pokémon da franquia principal: a jornada de um treinador em “início de carreira” em sua busca para se tornar um mestre Pokémon conquistando as 8 insígnias dos ginásios, vencendo a elite dos 4, explorando uma região repleta de rotas, cavernas e cidades com batalhas Pokémon em turnos contra outros treinadores enquanto capturamos novos monstrinhos e livramos o mundo de uma terrível ameaça (em Sinnoh representada pelo Time Galáctica). Essa é a fórmula do sucesso cunhada pela Game Freak desde o primeiro jogo da franquia e que sofre pequenas evoluções e novidades a cada novo lançamento.
Por ser uma franquia longeva e com milhões de fãs espalhados pelo mundo, é natural que a unanimidade seja uma utopia e a cada novo jogo principal apareça na internet uma parcela de fãs que defendem ferrenhamente uma mudança radical e evolução na franquia e outra parcela considerável da base de jogadores que gosta do jogo tal como ele é hoje, ou seja, muito parecido com o que originou todo esse universo há quase três décadas.
Tenho que confessar que eu faço parte desse time que gosta da estrutura dos jogos exatamente como ela é. Gosto de pensar que a cada lançamento o que eu vou ter em mãos para jogar por dezenas (e às vezes centenas) de horas é exatamente o que eu espero encontrar em jogo de Pokémon.
Justamente pela familiaridade dos nossos leitores com os jogos da franquia vou focar esse Review nas novidades que as versões de Brilliant Diamond e Shinning Pearl trouxeram em relação aos jogos originais.
Qualidade de Vida
Como não poderia deixar de ser, a parte gráfica de Pokémon Brilliant Diamond e Shinning Pearl foi toda pensada para o console atual da Nintendo. A evolução de tecnologia é gigantesca entre o Nintendo DS que recebeu a versão original e o Nintendo Switch. A direção de arte adotada pela ILCA (Sim esse jogo não foi desenvolvido pela Game Freak) foi sem sombra de dúvidas o ponto mais controverso entre a base de fãs.
Diferente dos Remakes da Game Freak em Pokémon Let’s Go, a ILCA optou por seguir o estilo Chibi com personagens mais fofinhos e com a proporção da cabeça um pouco maior do que o corpo. O estilo casou bem com a proposta do jogo e também com a ambientação retratada para Sinnoh, que pela primeira vez aparece com elementos em 3D.
O que pode causar certa estranheza é a proporção de alguns Pokémon quando estão caminhando ao lado do treinador. Monstrinhos que deveriam parecer gigantes como um Gyrados parecem um pequeno pet ao lado de uma criança de 10 anos. A falta de proporção não chega a atrapalhar a experiência e em pouco tempo já estamos acostumados.
Algumas melhorias denominadas “Qualidade de Vida” foram implementadas em Brilliant Diamond e Shinning Pearl para adaptar mecânicas e funções que dataram desde o lançamento do jogo original. A maior e mais emblemática é o “Exp. Share” que garante XP a todos os Pokémon em sua Party sem a necessidade de colocar todos em batalhas. A adição é bem-vinda, contudo a ILCA deveria oferecer a opção ao jogador para ativar ou não o benefício.
Também é possível acessar o PC de qualquer local do mapa através do menu de pausa para trocar os monstrinhos da sua Party. Na versão original era necessário estar em um centro Pokémon.
HMs com movimentos especiais de Pokémon como Surf, Fly, Cut etc. que permitem avançar pelo mapa podem ser acessados diretamente do seu Pokétch (Uma espécie de Smart Watch cheio de aplicativos) sem a necessidade de ter um Pokémon específico em sua Party.
Em termos de acessibilidade Pokémon Brilliant Diamond e Shinning Pearl dão um show. É importante sempre ter em mente o público alvo destes jogos, ou seja, principalmente as crianças. Certamente os pequenos não terão dificuldades em evoluir na história principal e terminar o Game, contudo, oferecer opções para que o jogo não se torne tão fácil poderia agradar também os jogadores mais velhos e que buscam por um pouco mais de desafio.
Jogadores veteranos da franquia que tiverem um Save de Let’s go e de Sword / Shield podem receber os Pokémon Míticos Mew e Jirachi, respectivamente, durante a jornada principal conversando com alguns NPCs.
E sim, podem ficar tranquilos porque a National Dex está disponível nos Remakes.
Novas áreas para explorar
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond e Shinning Pearl adiciona à Sinnoh duas novas áreas que podem ser exploradas para conseguir Pokémon e itens raros: The Grand Underground e Ramanas Park.
The Grand Underground é uma evolução do Underground dos jogos originais e é basicamente o subterrâneo de Sinnoh que agora se estende por todo o mapa. Ele é dividido em 6 regiões com biomas diferentes e Pokémon exclusivos que só podem ser capturados nesses ambientes. Além das batalhas competitivas Online é aqui no Grand Underground que o Ending Game acontece. O jogador pode explorar os subterrâneos de Sinnoh sozinho ou em companhia de outro jogador utilizando os recursos online.
Vale ressaltar que diferentemente do que acontece na parte superior de Sinnoh, aqui no Grand Underground é possível avistar os Pokémon andando pelo ambiente e não temos os encontros aleatórios. Com isso podemos escolher exatamente quais Pokémon queremos enfrentar ou capturar o que facilita bastante a tarefa de completar nossa Pokédex.
Já o Ramanas Park fica disponível apenas após completar a estória principal, ou seja, após vencer a temida Liga dos 4 e vencer a batalha contra a campeã da região. É aqui no parque que podemos encontrar e capturar Pokémon lendários de outras regiões. Os cães lendários: Entei, Raikou e Suicune além do pássaro Ho-Oh estão disponíveis para quem possui a versão Diamante e o trio de pássaros: Zapdos, Moltres e Articuno além do Lugia estão disponíveis para quem está jogando a versão Pérola.

Brilliant Diamond e Shinning Pearl honram o legado da franquia e renovam a belíssima região de Sinnoh em um jogo belíssimo, cheio de momentos épicos e adições bem vindas às novas versões. Jogar os novos jogos é como estar com forme, ir ao seu restaurante preferido e pedir pelo prato que você mais gosta. Você não será surpreendido, já sabe o que esperar mas ainda assim a experiência será prazerosa.
Como já comentei durante este Review: acho válido o pedido de uma parcela dos fãs pedindo mudanças mais significativas para os jogos da franquia, mas acho que temos uma série de Spin-offs no mercado que acabam atendendo a essa demanda. Estamos há poucos meses do lançamento de Legends of Arceus e eu acho que esta é uma ótima oportunidade para Game Freak trazer novos ares para os jogos. Mas eu ainda prefiro os jogos da franquia principal do jeitinho que eu conheci e continuo me divertindo até hoje.
